Meet Emily Perrotto

Emily Perrotto, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, completed her master's degree in nursing from Frontier Nursing University in Eastern Kentucky in 2020. She is married to a native Tennessean and loves to call Nashville her home, though she grew up and spent many years in the Northeast. Starting in high school, she began shadowing a local pediatrician as her desire to work in healthcare started to grow. After graduating, she became a CNA who worked with the geriatric population and began attending nursing school to earn her degree. Upon graduating as a RN in 2015, she was able to engage and learn from her experience in a variety of specialties, from neurology and trauma to hospice and palliative care, and even functional and integrative medicine. While she attended nurse practitioner school, she was able to work through the beginning of the pandemic supporting patients in their recovery of COVID. Upon becoming a board-certified nurse practitioner, she worked in primary care seeing patients across the lifespan, with acute and chronic conditions, and developed a passion especially for her psychiatric patients. After referring many patients to Nashville Brain Institute, she decided it was time to come work for this clinic dedicated to serving their patients with a holistic approach to psychiatry.

She believes in treating each person as a unique individual with a holistic approach and tries to work toward understanding the root of their well-being, ensuring that each person is offered optimal care. It is her intention to help every patient feel their best and enjoys working with patients of all ages and backgrounds.
